Musical sounds upon musical sounds, all of them wonderful, inspired by the grace of Bolivian Caporales dance, by the pulsating energy of Indian megacities, by the expanses of the Andean mountains and the spiritual radiance of Hindustani ragas. Composed and improvised passages merge with one another like fluffy clouds. Some of the pieces are like a trance, while others are played furioso, unleashing a veritable ecstasy of sound.
Recently Jarry Singla presented SAMPAYA – his current solo-repertoire – at the Winterjazz-Festival in Colognes renowned venue Stadtgarten as well as within the framework of the art exhibition “7 Wege nach Ehrenfeld”.
